Painting from life provides me with the information and inspiration to create paintings which reflect my artistic vision. My desire is to paint images that open the viewer’s eyes to the beauty of the world. Whether it be still life, landscape or figurative works, my hope is that my expression will transport the viewer to a deeper understanding of themselves and the depth of the spiritual reality surrounding them.

The structure of The Artist's Roost was built around 1830 by the US Army to be used as an Army Outpost. Many times the log cabin has changed hands. Anita bought the property in 2003 and transformed it into her artist's studio, called "The Artist's Roost."
